The School of Management at the University of SMU law school Singapore law ( Faculty of Law SUM) is one of six schools in the Singapore Management University , and the second law school in Singapore. The school is led by Professor Ye Going Min , first Honorary Consultant in Singapore. The Advisory Board is chaired by Lucien Wong, Chairman and Partner of Allen & Eggshell ALP. The school offers a unique four-year SMU law school degree Bachelor of Laws ( LB) degree program and a dual degree program that combines undergraduate program in law of five years with one of the existing programs that are not in full SUM accounting , Business, Economics , information Systems , or social sciences .
The school also has a full-time program of graduate two to three SMU law school year Jurist Doctor (JDK) . The school also offers a Master of Laws ( ELM) specializing in commercial law, dispute resolution, and the Islamic Law and Finance . The school began admitting students in Academic Year (AY ) 2007 . The school had 90 students in AY 2007, reaching a steady state, the consumption of 120 AY 2008. Admission to the program is competitive good SMU law school. 700 candidates for 1000 candidates who apply each year are in the running for an interview and a written test , with only about 120 admitted each year. In 2012,
115 places were taken up. It is likely that the school would review their annual consumption of up to 180 undergraduate students per year in the next three to five years , AY 2013. In January 2014 , SMU law school just three years since the first group of graduate students, the school has reached 15 finals fictitious international , winning eight.
