Once again , Wisconsin is the child of the WI courts nation Poster by controversial decisions that affect our electoral process. This time it is the judiciary that has been implicated as Wisconsin liberal judges reveal their bias and participation in political activism. Perhaps this question is best understood by analogy to baseball.
Suppose WI courts Milwaukee Brewer Ryan Braun to a panel of three judges face ( instead of today ) for his hearing on his " alleged " steroid use . Now imagine that one of the judges had publicly stated that he was a longtime fan of the Chicago Cubs and season ticket holder . Brewers fans are outraged that the judge was on the panel because their personal views on the subject of the case were probably already formed and through his WI courts power against a Brewer.
A similar situation, but obviously much more serious became a reality in another front in Wisconsin. Judge David Flanagan has recently ruled that the voter ID law in Wisconsin (Act 23) was unconstitutional. WI courts flanagan judge also signed a recall petition , disclosing some of his ideological views that promote liberal political forces. Conservatives are rightly outraged that the judge Flanagan did not reveal that he had signed a recall petition and then not rescue himself.
Unfortunately, the issues of judicial integrity in Wisconsin are not limited to a judge WI courts. You can judge the infamous Maryanne Sums, who ruled that Law 10 (Bill budget repair ) violated the Wisconsin open meetings law before being overturned by the Supreme Court of Wisconsin remember. The Wisconsin Bar Association awarded its honor judicial activism disbelief Judge WI courts of the Year.
